More on Tibet
The New York Times has an interesting article on how the Chinese government appears to have adopted an inflexible strategy. What Adam did not know was that Chinese President Hu Jintao was the Party boss in Tibet in 1989 when Tibetan unrest was put down harshly.
The Chinese government seems to lack finesse in their dealings on this as on other matters. Perhaps there are issues within the regime which we in the West do not perceive or understand?
