Lord Acton, Ian Wishart and Helen Clark (2)

Following my previous post on the above topic, Adam notes that Whaleoil has an exclusive interview with Ian Wishart on the subject of his book – Absolute Power.

Whatever one might think of Wishart and some of his views he was a very good journalist. He is a better writer than Nicky Hagar.

Given that Wishart says he has taken information in the public domain it will be interesting to see the construction he has placed on it.

This is likely to prove more interesting than the fantasy constructed by Hagar in his ‘book’ The Hollow Men.

What particular part of Hager’s book can you confirm as fantasy? Many of the insights Hager provided have been confirmed by the National Party or other sources. Ian Wishart’s conspiracy theories and unfounded accusations are very rarely confirmed and more often than not are dismissed before the next edition of his magazine, Investigate.

Consider the motives behind their work. I assume you will differ in opinion to me, but I see Hager trying to uncover information that is the public interest, whereas Wishart is more concerned with smearing people with unfounded accusations in the pursuit of more sales with his magazines. You may disagree with his politics, but Hager is more ethical and has more integrity than the diluted Wishart. Besides did you read Eve’s Bite? How that man thought he demolished Dawkins I will never know. Too many UFO abductions perhaps? And he is certainly way too obsessed with homosexuals. What did Freud say about homophobes?
