Using humour to look at the impact of rising food prices - The Spectator 26 April 2008
‘The loaves are security tagged.’
Adam has seen at least one mention in a British paper that an Indian restaurant was closing down due to the food crisis.
‘The curry house is under threat….’
Adam has noticed some comment in the NZ media that a specific type of Indian flour is no longer easily obtainable if at all here at the present time.
It is an interesting comment that Indian food is now such a staple in the British diet. Indeed, like many people of English background, Adam finds the thought of curry sets the gastric juices working in anticipation.
