Tannishtha Chatterjee stars in “Brick Lane,” directed by Sarah Gavron.
The other day Mr & Mrs Smith went to the movies and saw Brick Lane. Much to Mr Smith’s surprise he read this review in the New York times today.
The review and the comments are commended.
Not having read Monica Ali’s novel, Adam is not sure that the comments vis a vis the novel are correct.
However, he still stands by his view that this is a gentle, subtle film, rather than an in your face movie.
Tannishtha Chatterjee is superb as the main character, she deserves more parts.
