According to an item in the DomPost on Winston Peters, the Prime Minister is reportedly not concerned about the allegations swirling around his head:-

Feeling the heat?

Feeling the heat?

But Miss Clark said she was not concerned about the latest reports. She had been assured that “he believes everything he has done is legal and he is coming back to New Zealand … to clear the matter up”.

Adam says “Well, he would, wouldn’t he?” – with acknowledgement to Mandy Rice-Davies.

Has anyone noticed the form of words?

Peters believes that what he has done is legal, nothing about ethical or appropriate.

The article details various aspects of what is known to date in this tawdry affair.

There are some signs now that Clark may be distancing herself.

The NBR had a little piece this morning with some comments by Brian Henry, not on line at present, but will try and find it later over fact that Henry claims to have paid taxes, now whether this will wash is a moot point, as arguably the money from Glenn may have been taxable in the hands of Peters and then taxable as income in the hands of Henry as well. But wriggle room continues to appear.
