"There is nothing inherently evil or dishonourable in such an approach"

I completely agree Adam. There are plenty of good reasons why people don't blog under there name - all the other commentators on TVHE can't use there real name for various reasons.

I don't understand it when people complain about others using pseudonyms, surely as long as they are not using the pseudonym as a cloak to hide behind while generating piles of insults it does not matter! What is important is what the people actually write.

Well said Adam. As I noted on Trotter's blog:

Just a thought - don’t be too critical on those of us who blog anonymously. I would love to blog under my own name, but my business could be compromised - and I’m not prepared to put the jobs and livelihoods of around 18 employees at risk - that would be failing in my “good employer” obligations. Blogging under a pseudonym gives me the best of both worlds."

Now I am sure that Trotter will, being a good leftie, respect my wish to defend my staff and my business!! But I do not expect to make it onto his blogroll. I'll just have to get over it, won't I ;-)
