Adam is bemused by the media fuss over John Key’s supposedly new comments on not working with Winston.

On August 29, Adam posted on Key’s interview with Kathryn Ryan on Nine to Noon when Key clearly said he would not work with Winston even if it meant National would not be in government. The post was entitled -Key shuts and locks door on Peters in Nine to Noon interview.

Adam suggests the media have let themselves be played by Labour here. They should be pointing out that this is Labour and probably Winston stirring the pot.

This is not to Adam’s view a new position by Key. Why Duncan Garner went on about it in his blog the other day is beyond Adam.

The media should be questioning Labour’s willingness to work with Winston, not why Key will not. The MSM should be querying why in an election supposedly about trust, the electorate should support Labour when Labour are happy to work with someone who has difficulty remembering times, dates and places and appears to have had differing conversations with people, albeit on the same day and at the same time. It is not Key who is shifty. It is Labour and their coalition partner.

Labour seems, to Adam, to lack moral principle and ethical standards in this matter.
