Normally Adam would probably not have bothered to comment on this HoS article about disappointed Kiwi contestants in the TVNZ version of Who wants to be a millionaire? Except for the fact that he saw one of the people in question, as it was the only time he watched the NZ version.
Adam remembers being amazed that the schoolteacher, from Cashmere High in Christchurch could not answer such simple questions. He put it down to her being nervous.
Reading the article he is not so sure. Adam is now of the opinion is that he is surprised she got to be a contestant as none of the questions was hard.
Her comments about the change in the ministerial car fleet are unfair there was quite a lot of coverage of the change.
One thing though, if Adam was a contestant using ‘Ask the audience’ on an NZ focused question is not a great idea as it is filmed in Melbourne.
Adam still cannot comprehend that the woman did not know what a wowser was.
Overall Adam does not think the NZ questions, or at least the first few are very hard.
Adam thinks the woman is being rather silly and is suffering from a case of upset ‘amour propre’ and needs to just get over it.
