I agree, I bought my two year old a book of "Classic" fairy tales for Christmas. I'm taking it back because it's been softened. The Woodsman in the tale of little Red Riding Hood "scolds the Big Bad Wolf for what he's done, and the wolf lets Granny and Little Red Riding Hood out". Children need to learn that there is evil in the world, but tales like this can comfort them as they are assured that society will protect them as the woodsman did in the real fairytale by killing the wolf. I hope Britain and America both will give up this PC nonsense that refuses to admit the realities in life, which continues to allow our troubles to spread.
