To be frank, Adam loved this post at Hendrik Hertzberg’s blog at The New Yorker. Dick Cheney, Battleship Potemkin, Jimmy Stewart, Blofeld who could resist.

But a slightly earlier Hertzberg post capped it off so to speak, re the Svengali of the Bush years:-
