Obama is not the anti-Christ the fundies fear, but neither is he the “commeth to moment, commeth the man” champion the left wants to believe he is.

That said, political hacks tend to be great survivalists, and as we all know, survivalists do whatever it takes to, well, survive. So it is a plausible idea that Obama may just stick his finger in the air, note where the most votes are likely to come from in 2012, and go in that direction.
Anyway, interesting times are upon us all.

It’s very Jimmah Carteresque. However, Obama is a sneaky and duplicious prick who can turn on a dime. Whether he’s intelligent enough to sense his and our peril is another matter..

And don’t forget the bi-partisanship, exactly zero Republicans voted for the stimulus bill that they were presented with. They were not asked to contribute to drawing it up, just to vote for it. And in addition to the protectionist parts, it is stuffed full of Pork, as per usual of course.
Thus far, Obama comes close to “Epic Fail”, at least in my reckoning.
