BAFTAS announced-Winslet wins!

The Baftas have been announced. Slumdog Millionaire did well winning Best Film and best Director. Kate Winslet won Best Actress for The Reader and Mickey Rourke Best Actor for The Wrestler.
Noel Clarke won Best Newcomer. Possibly best known to many from Dr Who and Auf Wiedersehn Pet, Clarke is a writer and director as well with the well regarded film Adulthood to his credit.
Now will the BAFTAS be a good cue for the Oscars? Will Slumdog Millionaire be the sort of feel good movie that allows the Academy to ‘do good”? Will Winsley beat her Oscar jinx? Can Mickey Rourke’s comeback continue?
