Mugabe’s obscene birthday party
From The Times an article on the planning underway for Robert Mugabe’s 85th birthday and the supplies being sought for his ‘obscene party’:-
Birthday list
2,000 bottles of champagne — Moët & Chandon and ’61 Bollinger
500 bottles of whisky — Johnny Walker Blue Label, 22-year-old Chivas
8,000 lobsters
100kg king prawns
3,000 ducks
4,000 portions of caviar
8,000 boxes of Ferrero Rocher
16,000 eggs
3,000 cakes — chocolate and vanilla
4,000 packs of pork sausages
500kg cheese
4,000 packets of crackers
This in a country with hyperinflation, most of the population barely getting by and where cholera is raging.
Western diplomats and aid workers were stunned when shown the list. “It’s just appalling. It’s like they are either completely oblivious to what’s happening in their country, or completely impervious and just don’t care,” said one. “It’s shocking and obscene,” said another, who noted that lobsters were unobtainable in Zimbabwe and would have to be flown in.
The Mugabe regime is an abomination and an obscenity.

This man Robert Mugabe is an absolutely ruthless pig, a total shame for Africa and the Third World nations in general. This man should be kidnapped, just like the Israelis did with Eichman, brought to justice before the International Tribunal in The Hague and incur a life sentence (perhaps the death penalty would be more appropriate). Ah well, Africa is chock full of such dictator beasts, who’re completely without a shred of a conscience.
I await with great anticipation the protest to be organised by John Minto and Keith Locke, the burning of Mugabe’s effigy by the Holy Tagger .
Further, I expect sanctions at least as severe as those against Fiji.
When is someone going to ‘take him out’
and just don’t care
Never has a truer word been spoken. This is a recurring theme in the kleptocratic, Marxist-led ‘liberation governments’ throughout post-colonial Africa.
We know a Zimbabwean family locally. The only way their family there can get food is for our locals to send money to a bank in Botswana – the family then have to cross the border, do their shopping, then head home – all at enormous personal risk.
Mugabe is an absolute madman.
