Texting is a sin?

MacDoctor strikes gold with his latest example of Spam Journalism.
As he notes the journalist concerned appeared to have no example of the circumstances, nor to understand the meaning of ‘giving something up for Lent’.
For good measure the article which was about texting was accompanied by this photograph
Since when did nun’s ears text?

Maybe texting with your ears is a sin….
Fairfacts: Low wages are a direct consequence of the slow death of newsprint. I suspect most journalists will wind up as freelance with only a few providing regular articles.
Adam, I think you can expect more of this in future.
You will never be short of material.
Increasingly expect an abundance of it.
It’s about resources.
The media pays increasingly poor wages.
This week I saw an ad from a paper in the Hutt Valley.
The paper sought a junior report with a year’s experience.
It wanted to pay $25-30K, which is what I was paying my fresh-faced journalism graduates in the late 1990s.
And remember these graduates will graduate from uni, then do a year’s journalism course and then be let loose on the market.
For which they are expected to earn little more than mimimum wage!
