More on ACC

March 14, 2009

The other day Adam posted on the ACC issue in a rather long item. Essentially engendered because of a post at Pundit.

There has been considerable comment this week on blogs and in the media. The Herald has had several articles, the thrust of which seems to be that the situation is not nearly as bad as Nick Smith seems to suggest. Yet these articles do not get to what needs to be done to fix those problems which do exist.

MacDoctor has posted an excellent post on ACC again today. He has taken the trouble to read the PwC reports.

Adam thinks that Nick Smith needs to stop being quite so excitable and argue the issue more cogently.

Because of the emotive nature of ACC, National needs to handle this matter carefully. Smith’s ceaseless demonisation of the board and management is in danger of being counter-productive. There is the beginning of a backlash, orchestrated or not, in some of the press comment. Such as the articles referenced above from the NZ Herald.
