Went with Mrs Smith to the Lighthouse Cinema in Petone this afternoon. Saw the excellent Slumdog Millionaire. Thoroughly worthwhile. Cast were excellent. Interesting approach to telling the story. Somewhat of a contrast with other work by Danny Boyle. A slice of life approach that worked well. Good music score as well. At the end of the day it celebrates life and the human spirit.
