Adam thinks this is a good letter. Unlike the NBR editorial today, which seems to have adopted the unseemly glee position noted by E. W. Doe.
It is important that the Government is made to understand that the public will not tolerate pandering to corporates who seek to foist anti-competitive practices and excessive costs onto the consumer.
Capitalism yes, unbridled capitalism no. Some of the behaviours we see in NZ remind Adam of the late Ted Heath’s famous, some would say infamous statement, about ‘the unacceptable face of capitalism’. Adam would contend that in NZ there are some who would qualify for that epithet.
