Poneke spotted

March 31, 2009

Poneke has been ‘sighted’ so to speak. Adam caught ‘sight’ of him commenting at Homepaddock.

Perhaps he will return to blogging with posts that we can all see. Otherwise Adam might have to write about trolley buses.

Adam has fond memories of taking the trolley bus to school many years ago. The 621 he thinks it was from Palmers Green, the stop was just by the Intimate Theatre, to the end of the run in Enfield Town. Eventually the trollies were replaced by the Routemaster, that stalwart of the London Transport bus network for decades.

    Quite possibly.

My grandfather worked at the Royal Small Arms factory for many years. Where the Lee-Enfield rifles were made.

Enfield? Isn’t that the northern most borough of the City of Greater London?

I did mean 12,000 miles and having accidently commented twice I ought to have got it right at least once.

    “Enfield Town”

There’s an Enfield in North Otago: one pub, one hall, about 20 houses, a school, once public now used by Exclusive Bretheran, no buses and about 1200 miles from the one you mention.
