Sarkozy fools nobody
April 2, 2009
Nicolas Sarkozy employed his usual bully-boy tactics prior to the G20 Summit.
Nicolas Sarkozy is no Charles de Gaulle. That thought could be heard around France today after the French President made a fool of himself by throwing down the gauntlet before the G20 summit in tones that echoed the late General.
Yet it would appear that he did himself no favours. Why we should take notice of this little pipsqueak of a protectionist is beyond Adam. The French as usual are out to be diificult and to advantage themselves at the expense of everybody else and damn the consequences.
The article by Charles Bremner makes an interesting read.
