The view from Mount Sanctimonious

April 4, 2009

What is it about the Greens that makes one so irritated? Perhaps it is their sanctimonious attitude.

This is exemplified by Saint Jeanette’s preaching in her latest homily to the pagan hordes (aka Parliament), on the occasion of Super Helen, ‘the Greatest Living New Zealander :) ‘, being congratulated the other day on her appointment to run the UNDP.

Saint Jeanette in her sermon to the ungodly (aka Members of Parliament) said, as the NZ Herald notes today:-

Saint Jeanette’s latest sermon from Mount Sanctimonious was long on platitudes and short on any constructive solutions. In short yet another bout of hand wringing and condemnation of the world. A world which has over the past many decades achieved much in reducing poverty and want, though still with a long way to go.

Adam considers that Saint Jeanette’s latest burblings reveal yet again why the Greens in NZ are at best a total irrelevance and at worst a clear and present danger both to themselves and more particularly to the population at large.

Rose tinted specs help you see the sunny side of life, green glasses must give you a jaundiced view of everything.
