I was back in NZ for 2 weeks recently on business. Unfortunately Lindsay Perigo’s comment about NZ television journalism being brain dead still applies.
I can’t see it changing really, the internet in conjunction with the recession is murdering the journalism profession at the moment.
Our household switched back to TVNZ news mid-way through last year when Duncan Garner’s bias on 3News became too much for uis. The standard of the TVNZ “product” over the last month or so calls our decision into question. Perhaps Sky News will be the way to go…
I can’t understand how TVNZ manages to make the ‘News’ last a whole hour. At best it could stretch to a 30 minute bulletin. The amount of filler is enormous.
