Clive Crook on creative capitalism
April 19, 2009
Clive Crook at the FT blogs on 2 new books which should be on Helen Clark’s reading list.
One is about the important role of low cost private education in poor countries. A role once denied.
The second is on how bringing entrepreneurial skills to philanthropy is not only changing charitable aid, but official aid as well.
It will be interesting to see whether the ideas and concepts in these two books penetrate the bureaucracy of vested interest that is the UNDP. Perhaps the books might well be read by personnel at NZ Aid as well.
