This is probably Wilfred Owen’s best known poem. Arguably his best poem, by probably the best of group of English War Poets of WWI.

    Thank you, I thought a series of items, with a variety of content would be a little different.

    I chose the film clips from Oh, What a Lovely War, because of the way they drove home the jingoism, the futility and the waste.

    Hope you enjoy the others yet to come.

    Thank you for this series of poetry and music and music for Anzac Day. I remember singing Lest We Forget at school but didn’t realise it was a Kipling poem until I read your earlier post.
