The Defence Review

Yesterday David Farrar posted on National’s Defence Review, which Adam thinks is a good idea. DPF suggested that perhaps we could do away with the Air Force, which Adam is not so sure about.

Adam then came across this post which takes a different view and suggests that we do away with the army instead. Again Adam is not sure about that either. Consumist is a blog new to Adam, but seems to have some interesting posts.

Both posts provide food for thought.

In any event we can Adam believes no longer assume, if indeed we ever could, that we live in a benign strategic environment. Given our natural resources of water, fish and farming capability we present a potential target in a changing world.
