Key on Lee and Rankin

Heard John Key on Morning Report just now. Geoff Robinson questioned him about Melissa Lee and Christine Rankin.
Whilst he did a reasonable job, did not think he was as good as he might have been. Not sure that he has been as fully briefed as he should have been.
Still think it is a misuse of political capital to have the PM do all the lifting on such matters.
Ms Lee needs to clear away any issues over her company and the videos. Rankin needs to demonstrate that she can do the job.
From what Key said it is clear that National wanted a broader spectrum of views on the Families Commission.
The Morning Report story arc seemed to Adam to have a negative bias given who was heard from and quoted.
