TVNZ wastes our $ again
Small wonder that TVNZ has cost control problems. Tonight’s so called TVNZ One News bulletin was a classic example of waste.
We had Simon Dallow in Auckland crossing ‘live’ to Wendy Petrie in Christchurch to bring us breathless non news on the Bain trial. Wendy then crossed to Christchurch reporter Vicki Wilkinson-Baker, who until now had managed the nightly update, who opened a door and allowed us to see an empty courtroom . The same courtroom with the same files we had seen daily in recent weeks. This was NEWS!!
Following this epic display of Petrie on the frontline, there was another cross to Jack Tame on some aspect of the Bain saga, which unbeknown to Adam, Tame had apparently been covering in assiduous detail for weeks. So effectively Adam cannot recall ever hearing about it.
Why send Petrie down to Christchurch? Why demean Wilkinson-Baker, who has been doing a good job?
TVNZ wastes money ($) yet again. Our $ again.
