Worth resigns as MP
June 12, 2009
Richard Worth has resigned as a list MP.
In his statement he says amongst other things:-
“I could spend the future bemoaning the unfairness of a campaign which has Labour’s fingerprints all over it. But that is not my nature. The campaign has been run against me by people who are unable or unwilling to back their claims with credible evidence of criminal activity.
It is interesting to note that increasingly the media are asking questions over Phil Goff’s real role and intent in this matter.

Indeed they are Adam – but a few days too late for there to be any discernable effect in Mt Albert. And did you note this sentence?
“My conscience is clear. Those who have chosen to try to ruin my reputation should perhaps now examine theirs.”
Wonder if Goff’s ears are burning …
