Adam’s Losers of the Week #2
Alright it is like shooting sitting ducks, but Adam could look no further for worthy recipients of Loser of the Week for 1 August 2009, than Charles Chauvel and The Comrades.
The performance of Chauvel and his backing group of King, Mallard and fellow traveller Sue Bradford was just mind-blowing in it’s hypocrisy as regards the faux outrage exhibited over Paula Bennett’s action in releasing data on Jennifer Johnston and Natasha Fuller. After all as many in the media reminded us on a regular basis The Comrades never had any diificulty in slipping private information to favoured hacks in secret.
Indeed Charlie and The Comrades is a suitable catch all for a group of people who behave like third rate music hall artists still performing to a script that the audience saw through years ago.
So once more, clash of cymbals and let’s put our hands together and wish Charlie and The Comrades a successful and lengthy farewell tour.
