No Adam is not mistaken. I was concerned when I found out that the trains they bought would not fit through the tunnels we have (it may be wrong but I was told they didn’t realise that until after the purchase) and I would have thought it was common sense to procure trains that would run on our equipment. The service was out for a couple of months Ok that was then unavoidable but almost every week since then they are out of service for one reason or another. Last week (or maybe the week before) they couldn’t even supply buses.
Auckland’s rail system has also become appreciably worse. Madeleine at M&M tells how her daughter was stranded yesterday and my daughter was stranded last week. There has barely been a week this year that at least one line into the city has not been disrupted.
