That photo ruined my day

August 12, 2009

There was Adam last Saturday morning about to have a coffee and enjoy the lovely sunny day after his late night return from Melbourne.

He picked up the Dominion Post and what did he see, this:-

Quite put Adam out of sorts, vomit inducing,  especially when he read the fawning article by Tracy Watkins accompanied by a further one on Monday, plus of course the Paul Henry TV coverage last week, which Adam steadfastly refused to watch.

Of course the sheer mendacity of the headline made it worse. National supported Clark for the UN job, plus let us not forget the many vindictive remarks made over the years by Clark about others. MacDoctor catalogues some examples.

So Adam thinks this Letter to the Editor in the Dominion Post today is very apt, it accompanied a copy of the picture above with the caption ‘That photo ruined my day’:-

Adam agrees totally with the letter writer’s sentiments. He still cannot help wondering what provoked the rash of coverage.

By the way do others agree with Adam how posed and false the photos with the article looked.

Currently doing a job for UNDP in a developing country – looked up website for staff names and of course Comrade Helen is highlighted-but with the very lefty title of ‘Administrator’ .. anyway, so I held my nose and braved a look at that frigid wasteland of yesteryear…but DEJA-VU- they are using her airbrushed pledge card photos… … colleague from next cubicle later wanted to know what the whimpering was all about….

It’s bad, but not as bad as Peter’s kiss!
