Adam’s Winner of the Week

The Boys in Blue, the NZ Police for playing the budget cut game so well. Adam shook his head in admiration this week. The Police knowing full well the likely public reaction to the culling of their property portfolio offered up the ‘sacred cow’ of police stations for slaughter, knowing full well the outrage likely to be provoked. As expected there was the usual knee jerk reaction. Well done Howard Broad, a career in politics awaits. It remains to be seen if the Government will follow through and find some fat to trim elsewhere in the police budget. It would be strange if in an organization of that size there was not some to be found.
