Obama and his judicial appointments

Jeffrey Toobin, at The New Yorker, has an interesting article on Obama’s picks for judicial appointments and the roadblocks placed in their way. He notes some of the partisan response by Republicans is a tit for ta for Obama’s own actions in the past.

It is apparent that Obama will have a very large influence on the composition of the federal judiciary and may yet have another early opportunity to appoint another Supreme.
