Grouch for Today

Adam is in a grouchy mood. He knows nothing he says will make a difference, but he is bloody irritated that the media keep writing and talking about 2010 being the start of a new decade. It is not. It is just a continuation of the nonsense that 2000 was the start of the new millenium, when it was in fact the last year of the old millenium. The 21st century began in 2001 if we are being grouchy and pedantic, thus the next decade begins in 2011.
