Even the main US networks broke into their programming to carry Tiger Woods aapology, Step 1 – in the redemption playbook, he even managed Step 2 – cry in public apparently. Yet Bush pledging hundreds of billions for bailouts or Obama sending 30,000 extra troops to Afghanistan did not rate this.
Vanity Fair carries this interesting piece by Dee Dee Myers on the media. Amongst other things she notes how such actions increasingly make it difficult to determine what is a tabloid.
Thus perhaps it is not surprising that The National Enquirer is up for a Pulitzer.

Tiger doesn’t need to explain anything to anyone, maybe the media should be covering aspects of his tramp-wife instead.
