Thought originally that this readers letter to the Herald might have been meant as sarcasm, but repeated readings led Adam to think the writer was serious.

Yet every time Adam ventures onto the roads he sees examples of appalling driving. Yes, many roads are badly designed, but tht does not excuse poor lane discipline, excessive speed in suburban side streets, cutting corners and a complete disregard for signalling intentions to turn by so many.

After many years in NZ, Adam tends to the view that for safety you wait to see if a driver does what the indicator suggests they might do.
