Just what planet do these people live on?
What the hell do they think much of what they take for granted depends on?
If they fly, drive, use a phone, computer, television, clothe themselves then in one way or another they benefit from extractive industry – mining/drilling
Our farm exports depend on mining to provide the ships and planes to carry our goods overseas.
Our buildings use cement extracted from the grounf. Our roads require material from quarries etc, etc
In other words all aspects of normal life depend heavily on mining. To be so totally against mining in any shape or form as many of these people appear to be makes NZ is downright silly.
