Unbelievable
NZ Herald has a Your Views comments section on the suitability of Len Brown to be Mayor of the ‘Super City’
What Adam finds unbelievable is the number of people commenting who seem prepared to overlook the appalling mis-use of the council credit card by Brown. This despite the fact that in accepting the card Brown signed a statement accepting the strict terms on which it was issued.
It is not the amounts so much as the attitude it displays, let alone the questions it raises over Brown’s ability to lead and monitor a large organisation such as the new Auckland City. Furthermore it causes this commentator to wonder whether as a consequence credence can be placed on statements and undertakings by Brown.
Not only that it raises very real concerns over the attitude of New Zealanders to the spending of ‘Other People’s Money’. In fact it suggests that given a chance a great many would behave like Brown or Chris Carter.
Very dis-spiriting and disturbing.

You must remember the majority of people leaving comments thus far do so during working hours. They will be predominantly beneficiaries and gummint drones who would vote for a dad dog’s dick if it carried a Labour Party label.
