Not the billion $ divorce after all
On Friday the NZ Herald breathlessly reported that Tiger Woods wife was set to get $1 billion NZ in her divorce. The Herald essentially repeated a UK Sun article. The Herald ran the story on Page 3, perhaps appropriately, but trailed the item on the masthead page.

The Dominion Post went one better, better is used in a sarcastic sense, and ran the story on the front page.
The front page for heaven’s sake.
No wonder the dead tree press is declining.
American website TMZ has this to say:-
As one source with direct knowledge of the terms of the divorce tells TMZ, “She’ll be getting close to $100,000,000.”
There have been reports Elin would score $750 million, but we have confirmed that figure is wrong. Indeed, as we first reported, Tiger is not even worth $750 million. We’re told his net worth is somewhere between $500 and $600 million.
