Before you all laugh in disbelief, the reason for the no is that companies have had plenty of time to sneak in little price increases here & there and have done so.
That way they think none of us will notice when October finally comes.
If you keep your receipts for regular purchases you will notice some prices have already increased.Just one recent priced example I have has a sticker on it at $27.90 and a few weeks later the same item was now $29.50 so a pre GST price hike of just under 6%
Hmmmmm Wonder how many other items have snuck up in price recently for no apparent reason.
