No, I don’t think GST should be scrapped on healthy foods. No matter how cheap fruit and veg are (and in season they are a lot cheaper),some people will always choose not to buy them but still miraculously have cash for alcohol and lotto etc. Personal responsibility and some level of intelligence are required. There is no poverty in NZ – only personal mismanagement.
