This is Helen Kelly, the woman who purports to be so concerned about jobs and employment that she is aiding and abetting an Australian Union as it seeks to destroy the NZ film industry, on the grounds that it is all about improving the lot of the workers!

You regard Helen kelly as your enemy Adam?
Really??
It is always better to be in the Union than in a job, didn’t you know that?
Is Helen Kelly seeking to destroy the New Zealand film industry do you think Adam?
Do you think she is trying to improve the lot of NZ workers?
I think she is out of her depth
Moreover I think she is seeking a political outcome and a ‘victory’ over John Key, mainly becuase I think she feels betrayed by what she saw as earlier contacts and conversations not coimg to the conclusion she hoped. in that regard I blame Key as well.
Her actions and those of others may well materially impact the NZ film industry negatively.
I think as well that the constant union rhetoric about all employers being evil and profit bad which we have heard of late leads to the conclusion I have drawn.
As someone who has employed many people and had to deal with the issues which arise when business economics change, her comments and her ‘colleagues’ tactics are less than helpful. I have had to deal both with the problems of success and downturn. They can be equally unpleasant, though for differing reasons in some respects.
Where did she spring from?
Was she born ’50?
Like some lawyers of my aquaintance?
