Quotation for Today, Sunday 24 October

October 24, 2010
Clearly this is a result of the Unions.

It’s amazing how a group of actors who congratulate themselves on their work can’t understand it’s people like Peter Jackson that even makes this possible.
As for the Muppets on this thread condemning Peter Jackson and the Production Company for trying to make a profit – Grow the hell up!

If it wasn’t for the smart, resourceful entrepreneurs in this country prepared to spend a life time taking risks. You wouldn’t have an opportunity to provide 5th rate “actors” or “extras” with the pocket money they feel is owed to them.
New Zealand is learning the hard way that the Unions are a belligerent, malignant presence in commerce in New Zealand.

Anyone else notice that the Teachers Unions didn’t protest under Labour even though the govt was awash with cash.

The radiographers have gone on strike and have compromised the timely diagnosis of two patients liver cancers.

Not to mention the Unions in Christchurch who were basically found out as frauds for purporting that the CHCH employers were stiffing staff after the quake.
Unions are an arm of a political movement determined to kill any chances of prosperity this country has!

Thread comment at NZ Herald on “Who is to blame if Hobbit goes off shore’ What was interesting about the thread were the large numbers of comments by people who appear very envious of success and the idea that those who risk capital are entitled to a return. Nor do many appear to understand that many movies are made, for which actors get paid and where the box-office retrun is such that the studios lose money, so when they can make a profit they need a good one.
