Adam’s Wally of the Week
March 5, 2011
Again not a hard decision.
Step forward and take a bow – Gauleiter Gerry Brownlee who managed to offend many shades of opinion.
His ill judged remarks about ‘old dungas’ may come back to haunt him.
Gerry remember the electorate’s treatment of Churchill in 1945.
You Gerry may be the old dunga that gets bowled. bombast and arrogance is not appreciated. BTW David Carter was a close second.

Adam you are a twat
At times like these in CHCH, isn’t it a bit precious to criticise those attempting to sort things out? Leave the vitriole for the left who are overtly using the quake as a political football.
New Zealand is totally fucked when anybody who enunciates plain common sense is designated ‘Wally of the Week.’
Agreed

How’s that award sit this morning? Gerry’s now at the helm. And taking charge.
He based his remark on deaths occurring in the quake from old buildings, yet I suspect a major % were at CTV and the PGC buildings hardly heritage buildings.
It may be that heritage buildings were a major cause of death/injury but we have not had any inquiry as yet.
Unsafe buildings should be bulldozed if unsafe, but not because they are old.
