No, with this Adam does not agree as he wrote in his post. No, Adam picked Rodney Hide as Loser of the Week.

After all as John Armstrong noted in his Herald column:-

Act’s survival as a parliamentary party rests on Hide holding his Epsom seat. National has no qualms about reminding him that it retains the right to select a quality candidate and make a proper fight of it in the electorate.

Rodney misplayed his hand. Whereas plainly the Maori Party are angling for a biiger win elsewhere.

    Uh, just repeating an unsupported assertion constantly (which both the media and certain bloggers have been doing of late) doesn’t make it true.

    I’m fairly certain National fought quite hard for Epsom in 2005 and were soundly beaten.

    Just because it would fit into yours and other hacks views to have National effectively controlling ACT’s representation in parliament does not make that so.

    I know it’s probably a foreign concept to you, but there are a few MP’s who have principles which they, unlike so many others, will not sell out for the sake of political expediency.
