Google Books Settlement Evil?

Welcome to Google-world was the title of a recent post by Adam. It discussed how Google was in a dominating position in the web world. It noted as well how Google was seeking to aggressively push a copyright settlement on authors, not just US authors, but any authors world wide.

This Vanity Fair column by Jennifer Massoni asks ‘Is the Google Books Settlement Evil? It may not be evil, but is evidently generating some debate in the US, if nothing else for it’s perceived complexity.

To Adam’s mind it is made worse by the fact that the settlement seems to export American law and jurisdiction to everybody else willy-nilly.
