Looney Party Launches – compares itself to failed terror plot

The Mana Party held it’s launch today as reported at Stuff.

Bomber Bradbury was MC. He seems to have threatened the media, as is the wont of the left.

He said it was symbolic the launch was being held on Guy Fawkes day.

“Remember, remember the 5th of November.”

It was a historic day and Mana was recreating what Fawkes had tried to achieve, he said.

“Mana is here to send a clear message to Parliament that the resistance starts here, today.”

He also warned media at the event to report nicely on the party.

The reference to Guy Fawkes perhaps indicates that he is not very strong on history. Fawkes sought to impose by assassination a Catholic monarchy. There was no intent to replace King James with democracy as such, nor with socialism. Perhaps Bradbury is suggesting Mana will be a terrorist group, as were the Gunpowder Plot conspirators. Weird.

Bradbury’s comparison of Mana with the Gunpowder Plot is bizarre, unless of course he means that like Fawkes and his fellow conspirators the Mana Party is doomed to failure. Surely not!

Was that word so hard to tease out from the text, Adam?

Your extrapolations are nothing more than an attempt to smear and demean those you fear 🙂

Well, you’d know an attempt to smear or demean when you saw one, wouldn’t you Robert…

He should read a bit of history about the plot – the conspirators were treated to liberal amounts of the rack.
