Appalling TVNZ does it again

This morning both The Nation and Q&A referred to John Key’s decision to go to USA to support his son, instead of attending the memorial service for the 2 dead soldiers whose bodies have been returned from Afghanistan.

On Q&A Brian Edwards and Eric Young discussed the question rationally and in a calm manner. Both men supported Key, Young suggested that Key might have chosen his words more carefully, the mention of sacrifices made by his son, but Edwards said people were making too much of the phrase used and that attributing ulterior motives to very word was ridiculous.

Over on TVNZ’s Q&A , Greg Boyed held up Key’s remarks as a gaffe of the week .

TVNZ continues to try and see just how low it can sink
