English’s reshuffle – who to go?

April 23, 2017

Adam’s top of mind commentary on the NZ Cabinet and related positions:-

  1. Nick Smith – well past use by date – needs to be axed
  2. Peter Dunne – irrelevant, but needed due to MMP
  3. MIchael Woodhouse – not a performer, cull
  4. McCully – going, thank heavens, strong past performer but his best seems to be behind him
  5. David Bennett – who?
  6. Nikki Kaye – lightweight, but needed for Auckland, not for a heavyweight portfolio
  7. Simon Bridges – in danger of believing his own PR, suspect over promoted

another post will consider who might rise up. However, National’s vaunted in depth talent, may well be shallow. Though not as shallow as Labour’s ‘talent’ pool.
