Brits react to May’s Debacle (3)

11/06/2017

From Daily Telegraph Letters to the Editor:-

SIR – Watching the hubris of the Conservatives and SNP come back to bite them last night in the small hours, one could not help thinking of the schadenfreude smirk of Windsor Davies’s Sergeant-Major from It Ain’t Half Hot Mum: “Oh dear, how sad, never mind.” Mark Boyle Johnstone, Renfrewshire

SIR – Losing David Cameron’s useful majority with an unbelievably shocking election campaign is one thing, but making Jeremy Corbyn look credible is far worse.

Mrs May should not only resign as Prime Minister but also take the Chiltern Hundreds and never be seen in Parliament again.

Robert Warner
Ramsbury, Wiltshire

SIR – Am I dreaming, or did the British electorate almost put a terrorist-hugging Marxist into 10 Downing Street?

Andrew Hughes
Durham
