They couldn’t run a whelk stall

Ardern, Robertson and Parker seem to be the troika driving Labour’s tax policies and ‘information’ campaign. They are it seems relentlessly positive about tax, tax and more tax, in order to spend, spend like a profligate drunken sailor.

Their collective competence does not seem sufficient to run as the old Brit saying has it ‘a whelk stall’.

This saying is attributed to John Burns.

‘From whom am I to take my marching orders From men who fancy they are Admirable Crichtons*, but have not got sufficient brains and ability to run a whelk stall ‘
